she read Fitz-Albini against her scruples, but that didn't stop her, either. ;-)

To me, Some of our most interesting history comes to us in the form of letters, diaries and journals. Samuel Pepys comes to mind...even his honesty about his most wretched behaviors have not lessened for me the importance of being able to see the world through his eyes (or Abigail Adams'... Tolkien's...).

As for me, I think the letters are wonderful and I enjoy them. Shamelessly. ;-)
