Scolding Cassandra   Written by Cheryl (9/2/2005 9:38 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Letter 12 :Relieving hearts of malevolence, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

Yes, it was interesting to see Jane scolding Cassandra for a change! and she even ends the letter with another little jab. She tells of all the letters she's written and says:

...so that altogether I am tolerably tired of letter-writing, and, unless I have anything new to tell you of my mother or Mary, I shall not write again for many days; perhaps a little repose may restore my regard for a pen.

And then her next letter begins I am so good as to write to you again thus speedily...

You really do get the sense that these letters from Cassandra were her lifeline.
