Am I wrong in interpreting   Written by Tanya Virginia (9/1/2005 2:45 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Aha!, penned by Carolyn Ruth
Are you new?

“Tis really very kind in my Aunt to ask us to Bath again; a kindness that deserves a better return than to profit by it.”, to mean that accepting the offer would mean a burden on her Aunt, financial or otherwise, and it would be kinder to decline. I assume having guests stay for long visits (6 or 8 wks.) would be a financial undertaking as well as longing to have "one's house to oneself", as said by one of the Bingley sisters in P&P, and her Aunts "profit" would be a "burden".

In light of Jane's sarcastic nature and JulieW's quotations about this Aunt above, Am I totally off?

Tanya V.
