Ouch, indeed. Here, I'd thought Little Edward had breached a rule and been breeched (whipped on the breeches) and was whipped (more whipping for good measure) into the bargain. (Sorry Edward...) Breeched means birthed? That would be like a "breech" delivery, wherein the baby is delivered bottom first (i.e. upside-down from the typical way.) If we knew Little Edward's birthday we might could deduce the meaning.
