Cassandra is an unusual name   Written by Mary Ellen (8/29/2005 2:01 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, What struck me about the first two letters, penned by Line
Are you new?

And I searched the character name list. JA only used the name Cassandra in her Juvenilia story, The Beautiful Cassandra. And I believe she has 3 family members with that name, so it could not have seemed so very rare to her. I puzzle over this. Why didn't she use it more?
