I have picked up a similar impression Written by Ramya (8/28/2005 7:43 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Jinx, penned by JulieW

of Cassandra Austen, though I don't see JA as a Marianne ;), perhaps as an Eliza/Emma. Cassandra does seem Elinorish. I think Cassandra may have scolded her(gently, of course) for being particular in the first ball in dancing more than once (possibly twice/thrice) with Tom Lefroy. That's why she seems to be assuring Cassandra that TL is quite gentle-manly(and good-looking- hehe).
