I thought it was more affectionate Written by Barbara (8/28/2005 4:47 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, But would Cassandra..., penned by Cheryl

My impression of this was that the 'scolding', such as it was, was rather more affectionate and teasing than intended to chasten.

Would Jane continue to joke about him through this letter if Cassandra had really scolded her with the intention of correcting her behaviour?
