...be those sent to Kintbury which Cassandra didn't received, mentioned in letter 2? The preface isn't specific about each gap, but says there are gaps in 1798 which might have been references to Mrs Austen being ill. So they aren't necessarily about herself. And that Cassandra may have destroyed things which referred to other family members.

I suppose everyone wants to find JA's lost love letters (I mean, if there were any!) but we can't know what Cassandra would have thought of as improper/unflattering or even just private. Its frustraing.
