"My paper reminds me of concluding"   Written by Maisy (6/23/2006 3:46 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Sally, penned by Cheryl
Are you new?

The notes about this in my edition explain that this was a "hackneyed and vulgar way of concluding a letter, later used by Lucy Steele in Sense and Sensibility. Amelia's brief note can hardly have covered a whole sheet of paper" (Catherine and Other Writings, 304).

I can't stop thinking what great fun JA must have had dreaming up and putting down these little pieces. Delightful! (And her family's fun in hearing/reading them!)
