It is dedicated to Mrs. Austen. I wonder...   Written by Reeba (6/23/2006 3:40 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Amelia Webster, penned by BarbaraB
Are you new?

is that why there are three weddings here!!

And so much of match-making.

-Match-maker Matilda plays an important part in promoting her brother George Hervey to Amelia Webster - of course not forgetting the telescope LOL!!

-Match maker George Hervey writes to Henry Beverley praising his sister Maud's beauty and mentions the £2000 and as much more as you can get.

I was quite confused at first - till I jotted the people down and paired them up.

Then I was able to follow it.
I too found the tree for hiding the letter the funniest bit in this short juvenilia. "To improve her health". LOL!! *chuckle* *howl* *snort* too funny!! :-D

I think it is called 'Amelia Webster' because she is the only one who shows action (instead of writing long letters :-D) and goes to Bath!! :-D
Sally needed a tree with the letters to be encouraged to go anywhere.
