Are you new?

This was my favorite of the three scheduled for this section. Amelia has a writing paper issue that I thought was quite cute as well as funny. I love Bejamin Bar's letter---definitely a chuckle-out-loud, too-funny masterpiece. He finds a hollow tree to hide their letters in as they are obviously sneaking about in a courtship for whatever reason/s. The tree is only 1 mile from his house but 7 from Sally's because of his admirable concern for her weak and uncertain state of Health, of course. He doesn't want to deprive her of this opportunity to impove her ill state. Did I say chuckle? What a howl! Let's add a snort for good measure. I can't decide if the name 'Sally' is a nickname, a subterfuge or a different Hervey sister altogether from the Sarah he married. Did I miss something? Either way, cute, cute, cute. Would love to have gotten to read this as one of JA's full blown stories.
