Are you new?

Most of the juvenilia pieces aren't dated (L&F is one of the few, dated June 13, 1790 when Jane was 14) but my copy says that "from stylistic and internal evidence it is possible to draw up a tenable order of composition" and puts The Beautifull Cassandra (along with the other two pieces we'll look at this week) at between 1787-1790. So Jane was between 12-14 when she wrote these.

What a clever, clever girl our Jane was!
