Wow! My very first group read! (I can feel the excitement!)

As I was reading L&F a very short time ago, I noticed something very interesting (and hilarious) about Laura- While heroines like Burney's Cecelia or Evelina have everyone else talking about how beautiful, amiable etc. they are, Laura must be one of the only ones who speak at great length of her OWN attractions!

Somehow I don't think praising oneself carries quite the same weight! ;)
