Frankly I can think of lots more to say about this tiny piece of work.
Isn't it amazing what you can find once you start scratching the surface of JA's work? She really was a genius, to be able at the tneder age,to have enough literary taste and confidence to discern that the standard work on hisotry was mosly bunkum, and being sufficiently clever to be able to parody that style so cuttingly. I think she must have been frighteningly clever.
I would like to thank Carolyn , very, very much for the admirable way she has run this enjoyable , but ultimately too short GR.. I'd love to do more of the Juvenallia in this way...one day, perhaps.
I'd also like to thank you all for contributing. Its been an amazing , fact filled and fun week.
See you all for Emma in the New Year ;-)
