bound into two.

There is an abridegement( and Brian Southam thinks she had access to this too for she hated abridgements.It obviously drove her to distraction).

It is long, and not a very easy or good read.

I hope the quotes I have provided have given you some sort of impression of his terrible style.The lack of references and reliance on Shakespeare for historical fact clearly irritated JA to say the least.I can quite understand JA's reluctance to give it any creedance.

I doubt she was a mmember of the Oliver Goldsmith fan club...:-)
