Support   Written by Elena (8/23/2004 3:06 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Simnel & Warbeck, penned by Deborah d'Bajor
Are you new?

This question about support for Lambert Simnel is described quite plausibly by J.J.Bell. I want to stress that his is not ironical history, like JA's, but still the account seems quite amusing from his description.

"The Earl of Kildare, the governor of Ireland, declared that he believed the boy to be what the priest represented; and the boy, who had been well tutored by the priest, gave them so many descriptions of the Royal Family, that they were perpetually drinking his health to express their belief in him." Enough for support, one would say? :)
