Whtever you could say of Richard II , I don't think he could properly be described as boring, Greg ;-)

Here's a link to his rather colourful reign( below).

I think her throw-away-comment is a typical of her use of irony and understatment.No king just happened to be murdered. Much planning and forethought were very necessary before killing the head of state, then as now.The consequences of regime change for England, at that time, were very serious indeed .

I can just hear her, A la Caroline Bingley, delivering this line ;-)
