GR - doing math   Written by LaurieC (10/29/2003 9:28 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: Not always rabies free, penned by Myretta
Are you new?

Ooh, thanks, Myretta! If I'm reading the chart correctly, these are some of the results from the year following Pasteur's introduction of the rabies innoculation.

Year = 1886

Patients Treated = 2,671

Deaths = 25

Mortality per cent = .94 (less than 1%)

These results are *almost* as successful as the Parker-Shackleton concoction, which were advertised to have cured many hundreds, but I have no idea what it could have contained.

;-)
