in consequence of the missive, GR: Another question, penned by Line
England's status as Rabies free was the result of a determined campaign in the late 19th century to wipe it out. It was largely, but not totally successful. I've linked a page with more details.
What do you suppose Elizabeth Shackleton's cure was?
