GR: Thanks, Tori   Written by Myretta (10/28/2003 10:01 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: Motherhood, JA and TGD, penned by Tori Marie
Are you new?

I needed the reminder that everyone of Jane Austen's mothers gave birth and raised their children (for good or ill) and the fact that we didn't see them do it doesn't mean it wasn't done. :-)

I would like to add to your list, Mrs. Bennet who, having raised five girls, is anxious to see that their futures are assured. She may have a silly way of going about it, but she is obviously concerned about every one of them (and of course the possibility that she might end up starving in the hedgerows).
