Are you new?

I'm interested in what differences the location made in the social interactions. Is the "confined and unvarying" society in the north even more confined than in the south? And if it is, what does that mean to the society there?

Do we find more inter-marriage between tradespeople and the traditional gentility in the north because they don't have as many options or this a pattern for what was happening in England at the time?
