GR: Augustan?   Written by Cheryl (10/19/2003 3:05 p.m.)
Are you new?

Boy, you can tell this was someone's dissertation, can't you? ;-)

But, I stumbled over the terms "Augustan Period" and "Augustan Literature" just thrown out there like I should know what they are. I know that she's not talking about the Augustus I'm thinking of (Caesar!) but can't recall an English Augustus. Can anyone enlighten me? :-/
