GR: Yay Myretta!   Written by Line (10/19/2003 2:09 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, GR: The Gentleman's Daughter, penned by Myretta
Are you new?

I hadn't quite realized that you were personally taking charge of this Group Read - something else to look forward to!

Speaking of relating this book to JA's novels - I found myself doing that from the first page! One line in particular in chapter 1 made me think "There's Bingley's family, right there".

As for sex and religion, maybe I'm a bit clueless, but the first two chapters didn't seem too bad - I think we'll manage all right.

BTW, I was wondering if it might be useful to add to the GR Guidelines that it's not enough to post a spoiler warning in your subject line that you are talking about a later chapter. (This happened a few times during the recent S&S Group Read.)

P.S: Now I'm going to have to remember to put GR in front of my subject lines - I'll probably get into the habit of it most of the time once we get to the last chapter! ;-)
