in consequence of the missive, Bosinney's demise, penned by LaurieC
in his love for Irene. Even assuming that he was filled with rage and hatred, he should have made certain that Irene was safe, instead of running off and leaving her to go after Soames. He could have dealt with Soames later. In less exalted terms, I think Bosinney was a dork. That doesn't excuse what Soames did. As Galsworthy said in his preface, "She ought to have forgiven him, and so on." How do you forgive something like that? There are so many layers to this story, and so many ways to look at it. It's almost like a maze.
