Wasn't Irene's note chilling?   Written by Rosalie (10/15/2004 9:51 a.m.)
Are you new?

Soames finds Irene has left the house after his infamous act and figures she can survive on the money she'll get from all the jewels and furs he's given her. (She can't possibly survive on her own 50 pounds a year). Then he finds her note -

"I think I have taken nothing that you or your people have given me".

He finally understood, "she loathed him".
