Does anyone have any opinions whether it was accident, brought on by inattention due to anger, or suicide? At that point, why wouldn't he and Irene decide to just stay together. I was a little surprised that he left her in the fog, although I suppose he was half-cracked, as Galsworthy so graphically explained it. Was anyone else shocked by the terminology used to describe Bosinney's state of mind?
I'm also trying to piece together the time frame. The meeting in the fog happened the evening before the trial, correct? Bosinney didn't attend the trial because he was hospitalized at that point and later died of his injuries. All of this happened in approximately 24 hours, unless I've missed something.
Such a lot of unhappiness in a short period of time!
