Opinion on Francie   Written by Sharon Alanna (10/7/2004 2:38 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Francie, penned by LaurieC
Are you new?

While Francie can probably be independent if she wants to, I am under the impression that she wants to get married. The young men that she invites to her parties aren't "husband material" but since she is the daughter of a rich father, I'm surprised that a more ambitious young man has not tried to marry her. I don't think Roger is over-generous, but surely he would make a decent marriage settlement on his daughter. I've always thought the same about Aunts Ann And Hester. They would have been known as the daughters of a rich man.
