In a family that seems only to tolerate each other, they appear to be united in their dislike of Soames. With Aunt Ann gone he has no ally in the family. Is it me, or do others think even his father dislikes him?
He is a very singular man. He has all the right tools to be a man who is highly regarded. He is trustworthy and respected in his profession and in control. His private life is a shambles and he concerns himself with his liver! Does the word paradox come to mind?
I really like this story.
