Are you new?

of the family. Though considered one of the Forsyte maids, she is held in high esteem. James seems particularly fond of her. In Chptr. 6 it says he visited his brother Timothy's house "year after year, week after week". Since Timothy rarely left his room, I assume he felt comfort in his sisters company. It seems unusual in such a male-dominated society that a woman would have such stature. Any thoughts?
