Yes, it was a long time ago. I remember that my Mom watched it faithfully when it came to the US; I was still a bit too young to be interested in it. The success of The Forsyte Saga is what spurred the creation of Masterpiece Theater, which began in 1971. It was watching those programs starting in my early teens that led me to my Anglophilia and interest in British history.
