soames   Written by Elsie (9/20/2004 2:26 a.m.)
Are you new?

what a strange man this Soames is. Do any of you think that he truly loves Irene. In my point of view he sees her almost as an object. The way he thinks of her as a possession rather than as a mate.

I think he saw her and decided he should have this beautiful ornament for his house. Wether she loved him or not. he chased her till she accepted his offer of marriage. He never cared to find out how she fell.
I wonder if we will find out if he ever loved her or still does. Any reflections on him and their strange relationship?
