Very Interesting   Written by BarbaraB (5/10/2008 2:55 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Poor Jane, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

I read your link and found it all very informative. I can't imgaine her having to be a governess now that this is all explained. As much as I get turned-off by Frank's behavior, he was probably a life saver for her. After all he was mad about her, and so she probably had the best of care. Being a governess would have speeded up her consumption I'm thinking. Thank you for the information. It sheds new light on the scene you cite in the link with Mr. Knightley.
