Are you new?

I remember that the first time I read Emma I did not anticipate that Frank and Jane are engaged, only suspected that Frank might be playing games with both Emma and Jane, in Willoughby's style. At that time I did not read MP, so I could not suspect him of playing in Henry Crawford's style.

Now when we know how it turns out in the end, it is seems harmless, but I think that it has more sinister undertone on the first reading, and Mr. Knightley tries to warn Emma earnestly.
