I asked because   Written by Graciela (5/8/2008 10:51 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, No, it doesn't end until Saturday, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

it seems that the last chapters are not been discussed. The discussions seems to have ended when Jane and Frank's engagement is discovered, and then people skip to Emma and Mr. Knightley's engagement.

There are no discussions about Harriet telling Emma that she loves Mr. Knightley, and Emma realizing her own love for him, and her thoughts that if he marries Harriet it will be an unequal marriage and people will sneer at him; or Mrs. Elton playing the "I know something that you don't know game"; or Mr. Knightley reaction to Frank's letter; or Mrs. Weston having a daughter; or Emma's meeting with Frank after she knows of the engagement.

After MarianneR post asking about the arrowroot (chapter 45), the next thread starts with Laraine message "All those little moments" that begans "Now that we're wrapping up" (?). Other threads are about the same theme (Jane/Frank, did you suspect?) and "Mr. Knightley is in love with Emma since she was 13 years old" (ch 53)

How do you divide the book for the GR? How do you decide which chapters will be discussed each week? Emma has 55 chapters, divided in 6 weeks it's about 9 chapters a week, but the week before this only 6 chapters were read, and in this week we have to discuss ***13*** chapters. Even if someone wants to discuss about some topics, there is no time.

I don't want to be impertinent, and I am not pushing you if you don't have time, but didn't you post in Emma's board some time ago that you have a theory about why Mr. Knightley has little spare money but you would wait for the GR to tell about it? :-)
