Yes, these are what I mean. When Frank is spelling Dixon Emma is still clueless :-), but at this point, in Chapter 41, Mr. Knightley becomes suspicious, and tries to warn Emma.


"My dear Emma," said he at last, with earnest kindness, "do you think you perfectly understand the degree of acquaintance between the gentleman and lady we have been speaking of?"

LOL about Frank dying to hear Miss Bates's opinion.
