Bates' hospitality   Written by Janey (4/29/2008 9:11 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, L&T Question - The Bates' Place..., penned by Moni
Are you new?

"...the visitors were most cordially and even gratefully welcomed; the quiet neat old lady, who with her knitting was seated in the warmest corner, wanting even to give up her place to Miss Woodhouse, and her more active, talking daughter, almost ready to overpower them with care and kindness, thanks for their visit, solicitude for their shoes, anxious inquiries after Mr. Woodhouse's health, cheerful communications about her mother's, and sweet-cake from the beaufet..." CH 19

Doesn't this make you want to visit their little haven of hospitality? And be treated to cordial, grateful, warm, caring, kind, thankful, cheerful hospitality and even a sweet-cake!

(Well...maybe wear earplugs if the great talking upon little matters will bother you) :D
