IMO, Emma's motives are well intended..   Written by Moni (4/22/2008 9:22 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, Motives, penned by Nicki
Are you new?

as is evidenced in the part where the narrator tells us about Emma visiting the poor, and how effective she was at it.

She genuinely thinks Mr Elton is a better catch for her friend, and convinced she is of some noble birth, wants her to make a great match.

Yet she does have a naive side, and though she is highly intelligent, she is still young, IMO.
