In ch 2 it is said that the former Miss Churchill (from a 'great Yorkshire family', after marrying Mr. Weston, 'missed the luxuries of her former home. They lived beyond their income, but still it was nothing in comparison of Enscombe.' I tend to imagine their wealth being perhaps nearer to Mr. Darcy's 10,000 per year.

ch 20: To provide for her otherwise was out of Colonel Campbell's power; for though his income, by pay and appointments, was handsome, his fortune was moderate and must be all his daughter's...

Later in the same chapter we learn that the fortune Miss Campbell will inherit is 12,000 pounds total (if Emma's knowledge can be trusted, that is): Mr. Dixon, perhaps, had been very near changing one friend for the other, or been fixed only to Miss Campbell, for the sake of the future twelve thousand pounds.
