Someone posted below that although there had been a lot written so far about Miss Bates, "she had not yet uttered a single word," In this week's section she still has yet to utter a single word--rather many, many words, all together. (I'm reading it as well as listening to the audiobook read by Prunella Scales who brings Miss Bates's speeches to life beautifully.
