Frank is certainly at fault   Written by Rachel G (4/13/2008 4:55 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Frank has not, penned by JulieW
Are you new?

I understand why Frank should have made the effort to come, and why Mr Knightley disapproves. It just seemed to me that Mr Knightley's disapproval was expressed with considerable vehemence, and wondered whether there was more going on here than the surface meaning - perhaps something to do with the interaction between him and Emma, or the relationship between the two speakers.

I'm not sure quite what I am getting at here - it's just a hunch that there may be more going on here than is at first apparent. This novel is so multi-layered that I am beginning to look at every interaction with a suspicious eye!
