like Emma. I wonder how it came that she became attached to Mr Woodhouse who is rather not so smart. I mean Emma certainly shows that she needs a companion that can challenge her intellectually (judging by her annoyance at Miss Bates), so I wonder at Mrs Woodhouse's motives for marrying Mr Woodhouse.
