My idea reading this sentence Written by MarianneR (4/5/2008 5:02 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, Speaking of hackles rising in Chapter 5 . . ., penned by Mary Anne

was that Mr.Knightley meant it would benefit Emma if there was a person who didn´t admire her like every one else did. And if that person was someone whose high opinion was of special importance to her it would even be better. This would help her not to overestimate herself.
