that the angst over the wedding cake is mostly unfounded. Weddings didn't happen every day, so Mr Woodhouse need not have feared it being eaten above moderation! LOL.

I think Mr Perry was trying to be very politically correct, here, while not wanting to cause displeasure to Mr Woodhouse, let alone his children, LOL.
