First time reading   Written by Lila (4/3/2008 10:13 p.m.) in consequence of the missive, First Impressions, penned by Tarn
Are you new?

I see Emma as bright, rather arrogant and overly sure of her opinions. For someone so young she sure does have a strong sense of what she believes. I think that if she were less pleasant she would be very "Darcyish". In fact, I think she is rather Darcyish.

I see Mr. Weston as harmless, pleasant and perhaps a bit clueless. Mrs. Weston seems level headed and kind.

No real opinion of the other Martins, but Robert Martin seems to be a decent sort of person, proud, but not in a bad way.

Harriet is a doozey.. She is completely maleable and I am beginning to wonder if there is anything between her ears. She seems to have the initial right instinct but is easily persuaded. Granted she is young, but I think she is a bit too spineless.

As for the matchmaking... I don't quite know how the Weston's match took place.. perhaps it was luck, but I think Emma playing god with Harriet's love life is pretty dangerous.

Sorry I joined in a bit late. I've been reading, but have not had a chance to post due to travel.
