The first time I read Emma   Written by MarianneR (4/3/2008 4:05 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, First Impressions, penned by Tarn
Are you new?

is half a year ago so I can´t remember all my feelings. But I do remember that I really disliked Emma at first and wondered how she could be so stupid. But my feelings changed during the process of reading especially when I realized that she was able to reflect her endeavours and feel sorry for them.

I remember my 15 year old daughter sitting on the sofa reading Emma and shouting out loud:"Oh, the stupid cow - I could slap her in the face!" She even thought about ceasing to read on. But curiosity triumphed and now she loves the novel as much as I do!
