Julie, I'm wondering if Emma's crayons (and crayon drawings) are the same crayons of which we're familiar today: waxy, coloring sticks (or drawings made with such)? Or are they something completely different? The period crayon works I'm finding online all seem to be done with black crayon, specifically.
