I ate a piece of this kind of "wedding cake" 3 months l Written by Delories (4/2/2008 8:14 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, We did that, penned by Barbara

...and it was very good! (It apparently had not been frozen, but kept in a tin wrapped in paper.) Some friends were married abroad, brought the cake back with them, and offered the last of it during their first Christmas "at home" as newlyweds. So I can vouch for the "staying qualities" of brandy...
