but is being admirably diplomatic -- probably almost any food might disagree with many people, if not 'taken moderately' (rather a vague quantity, that!). Mr. Woodhouse, however, interprets the statement as best suits him -- which, as an old friend, Mr. Perry probably knows he will do. ;-)
