Chapter 2: Captain Weston Written by Nicki (3/31/2008 2:17 p.m.)

I have noticed that Mr Weston is referred to as Captain Weston three times in Chapter 2, and it is said that he was in the militia. However, this is the only time he is called Captain Weston. Would he have been obliged to relinquish his officer's title on leaving the militia? Or was it simply a matter of preference and making a fresh start, that he left it behind?
