Thyroid problems?   Written by Tarn (3/31/2008 4:58 a.m.) in consequence of the missive, I've always wondered how ill Mr. Woodhouse is..., penned by Anne-Marie
Are you new?

Mr Bader has written an excellent and plausible essay on the subject, which I link below. (Be Warned, there are SPOILERS in the linked essay.)

I very much agree with Mr Bader on the subject. My fathers parents lived inland, before salt was iodised and some of the family (but not others)inherited various thyroid problems as a result.
Mr Woodhouses dislike of change is very typical in people who depend on others for care, and no wonder. Changes that are delightful for others, often mean less care for the invalid, and consequently, discomfort (from being left forgotten in a cooling bathtub, to drowning forgotten in a cooling bathtub, for example).
